# August 2, 2026 — Thrizer Pay follows the matched Blue plan

> For BCBS clients matched to a child Blue plan by Member ID prefix, Thrizer Pay availability now reflects that specific plan instead of the parent BCBS payer.

### Thrizer Pay availability now follows the matched Blue plan

When a Blue Cross Blue Shield client's Member ID prefix routes their claims to a specific Blue plan, Thrizer Pay availability on that client is now based on **that specific plan** instead of the parent BCBS payer. This applies across the client roster, Add Charge, and Edit Connection.

**Who this affects:** clinicians and clients on BCBS payers whose Member ID prefix matches a specific Blue plan.

**Why it matters:** some Blue plans support Thrizer Pay and some don't. The checkout option shown for a client now reflects what their actual plan supports. Clients aren't offered Thrizer Pay on a plan that doesn't accept it, and aren't pushed to Self-Pay on a plan that does.

**What to do:** nothing — the correct payment type appears automatically the next time you charge or edit the client. If a BCBS client's payment type looks different than before, that's the matched Blue plan's availability taking effect. Make sure the Member ID on file is exactly what appears on the card.
