## Insurance updates

### Elevance Health plans now reimburse by paper check only

Elevance Health has updated its guidelines so that third-party entities like Thrizer are no longer permitted to receive reimbursement on a client's behalf. Effective today, **Thrizer Pay** and **OON Pay direct deposit** are not available for these plans, and clients receive reimbursement by paper check directly from their insurance company.

**Plans affected:** Anthem BCBS, Carelon, NYSHIP (administered by Carelon), and Wellpoint.

**Who this affects:** clinicians and clients with active or upcoming charges on any of the plans above.

**What changes:**

* Clinicians can charge affected clients as usual. Thrizer continues to submit claims, and clients receive paper checks once claims are approved.
* Former **Thrizer Pay** clients now pay the clinician's full cash rate upfront and wait for a paper check (typically \~6 weeks, varies by plan).
* Former **OON Pay direct deposit** clients receive a paper check instead of a direct deposit.
* The 5% Thrizer Pay fee and 1% OON Pay fee are **not** applied to future claims on these plans while this policy is in effect. If pricing changes, Thrizer will notify affected clinicians in advance.

**What to do:** nothing. Thrizer is working with Elevance Health to restore electronic reimbursement and Thrizer Pay support. See [Elevance Health reimbursement changes](/help/claims/elevance-health-reimbursement) for full details. Anthem clients still require [OON provider registration](/help/claims/anthem-oon-registration) regardless of this change.

## Bug fixes

### Resending or relinking a team-member invitation now works

The **Resend invite** and **Relink** actions on the Team members page no longer fail for Practice Administrators or Team Owners, and no longer create broken invites for anyone else. New team members who accept a resent invitation are correctly attached to your practice.

**Who this affects:** Practice Administrators and Team Owners who resend or relink an outstanding invitation from the Team members page.

**Why it matters:** previously, selecting **Resend invite** or **Relink** on a pending team member's row could return an error and never send the email. In other cases, it sent an invitation that didn't attach the new clinician to your practice, so the clinician couldn't see practice-level data after accepting. Both paths are now fixed.

**What to do:** nothing. If a team member never received a resent invitation, use **Resend invite** again on their row. If someone already accepted a broken invite before this fix and appears disconnected from the practice, email [help@thrizer.com](mailto:help@thrizer.com) to have their account relinked. See [Team members](/help/clinician/team-members).
