## New features

### Defer practice setup and resume later

Clinicians who sign up through the Thrizer signup flow can now defer creating a practice from the **Create Practice** step. The step has a new secondary action, **I'm not ready to set up my practice**, alongside the primary **Create Practice** button.

Choosing to defer takes you to a new page confirming your account is saved, with two options:

* **Set up my practice** picks up practice creation where you left off.
* **Sign out** signs you out. You can sign back in at any time and Thrizer will land you on the same deferred page.

Previously, the only ways out of the Create Practice step were to finish creating a practice or to sign out. Signing back in dropped you into the same step again, with no confirmation that your account was saved.

**Who this affects:** clinicians in the middle of self-signup who have not yet created a practice. Once a practice exists on the account, sign-in behavior is unchanged.

**Why it matters:** if you are not ready to name a practice, add banking, or finish business details on the same day you signed up, you no longer have to abandon signup or push through. Your account is saved, and the next sign-in makes it clear how to resume.

**What to do:**

* To defer during signup, select **I'm not ready to set up my practice** on the Create Practice step.
* To resume, sign back in and select **Set up my practice** on the deferred page.
* If you already have a practice, you will not see this page. See [Getting started for clinicians](/help/clinician/getting-started).
