## New features

### Plan-specific reimbursement methods and registration notes on benefit results

Benefit-check results now display the reimbursement methods and registration requirements for the client's specific plan, not just the parent payer. Clients and clinicians see:

* Which reimbursement paths are supported for that plan (Thrizer Pay, OON Pay, or paper check).
* A **Requires Registration** note when the plan needs the client to complete a payer registration step before Thrizer Pay or direct-deposit reimbursement can flow.

These labels appear in the [Instant Benefit Checker](/help/widget/how-to-use-the-instant-benefit-checker), the [Thrizer Widget](/help/widget/widget-overview), the client's benefits card, and the clinician's About tab.

**Who this affects:** clients linking or reviewing their insurance, and clinicians running benefit checks.

**Why it matters:** BCBS clients on plans like Anthem, Regence, or Excellus previously saw the parent BCBS payer's reimbursement rules. The plan-accurate view means you now see the correct reimbursement paths and registration requirements up front, before charging.

### Registration reminder after saving insurance

When a client links or updates insurance and the resolved plan requires payer registration, Thrizer now shows a **Complete registration** prompt right after the save succeeds. The prompt appears in:

* Client onboarding — Link Insurance step.
* The client's Settings → Insurance panel.
* The clinician's Client → Insurance tab.
* The admin About tab.

Re-saving the same plan does not re-prompt.

**Who this affects:** clients on plans that require payer registration (for example, [Anthem OON registration](/help/claims/anthem-oon-registration)) and their clinicians.

**Why it matters:** registration is easy to forget at link time. Silently skipping it can block Thrizer Pay eligibility or delay reimbursement. The post-save reminder catches this before a charge is submitted.

## Updates

### Insurance edit uses a drawer in the Client Portal

Editing insurance from Client Portal Settings now opens the same drawer clinicians use, instead of a centered modal. Fields load when the drawer opens, and a sticky footer keeps **Save** in view while you scroll. No fields have changed.

### Plans without out-of-network billing can no longer be linked

Plans that don't support out-of-network billing are now disabled in the insurance-link payer search. Saves that would switch a client onto one of these plans are rejected. Clients already on one of these plans can still re-save the same plan without being kicked off. Eligibility checks are unaffected.

**Who this affects:** clients and clinicians linking or switching insurance.

**Why it matters:** you can no longer link into a plan whose claims Thrizer cannot bill, which avoids submitting charges that would be rejected downstream. See [Supported insurance](/help/claims/supported-insurance) for the plans Thrizer bills today.
