## New features

### Crop your profile photo in a modal

Uploading a profile photo from the Clinician Portal now opens a full modal instead of an inline editor that pushed the rest of the header aside. From the modal, you can:

* Drag and drop an image, or browse for one from your computer.
* Preview the image and adjust the crop to fit the circular avatar before saving.
* Replace or remove the current photo.

The new experience appears anywhere you edit a photo in the Clinician Portal, including your own Settings and the header on a clinician's profile that a practice administrator can edit.

**Who this affects:** clinicians and practice administrators uploading or updating a profile photo.

**Why it matters:** you can see and adjust the exact crop that will be saved, so headshots and logos are no longer clipped in unexpected ways. Editing a photo no longer shifts the layout of the page you were on.

**What to do:** open **[Clinician Portal → Settings](https://clinician.thrizer.com/settings) → Profile**, select your profile photo, and use the modal to add or update your image. See [Settings and profile](/help/clinician/settings-and-profile#profile).
