# New fees starting November 2, 2026

> Prepare for the November 2 fee changes, choose your practice's client pricing, and explain any change to clients.

Card-processing and out-of-network billing service fees will change on November 2, 2026. Here's what to review before the change and how to prepare your clients.

Thrizer charges your practice for payment processing and out-of-network billing services. Your practice separately decides what to charge clients for the billing support you provide. OON Billing and Instant Reimbursement remain optional. If a client's price changes, let them know before it takes effect.

## The short version

* Current fees apply until November 2, 2026.
* The OON service amount is added to the client charge by default. You can use a different standard price or set a price for an individual client.
* Practice fees are deducted from your payout regardless of the client price you choose.
* We'll notify clinicians in the Portal when the new settings are available.

## What is changing

Starting November 2, the practice fees are:

* **Standard card processing for all practices:** 2.85% + \$0.30. Subscription discounts are handled separately.
* **OON Billing with Check or Bank:** \$4.
* **OON Billing with Instant Reimbursement:** \$15.

These are costs to your practice, not a required price for your clients. See the [complete November 2 pricing guidance](/help/payments/pricing-overview#approved-pricing-from-november-2-2026) and [pricing before November 2](/help/payments/pricing-before-november-2-2026#current-pricing) for the two schedules.

One difference to watch: Check currently has no client insurance-related fee. Bank's current 1% fee applies only when reimbursement above \$0 passes through Thrizer to the client. It doesn't apply to zero reimbursement or payments sent directly to the member. The new schedule uses the same flat service amount for Check and Bank.

## What will my client be charged?

The new default adds the applicable OON service amount to the client's charge. You can choose a different price. Before billing, explain the service price and any extra costs so your client knows the total.

## What happens to my payout?

Thrizer deducts the applicable OON service and card-processing fees from your payout in every case. Changing what you charge the client doesn't change or waive those practice fees.

The amount collected from your client and the fees deducted from your payout are separate parts of the transaction. Use the applicable processing calculation and transaction details to work out your net payout.

## How can I price the service?

Your practice offers the billing support: helping clients check benefits, arranging eligible claim submission, and following claim status. You can price that service to reflect the support you provide. Keep the default, choose another price, or include the cost in your session price. See [pricing your billing support](/help/payments/pricing-overview#decide-how-to-price-your-billing-support) to compare the choices.

### Example: client price and practice fee

For a **\$100 session using OON Billing with Check or Bank** after the change, assume no other client charges:

| Your pricing choice | Client pays | OON service fee deducted from your payout |
| - | - | - |
| Use the default \$4 billing-support price | \$104 | \$4 |
| Include billing support in the \$100 session price | \$100 | \$4 |
| Set a billing-support price of \$8 | \$108 | \$4 |

Card-processing fees are also deducted in all three cases. The client-payment column is not your net payout. The \$8 price is an illustration, not a recommended price. Instant Reimbursement has a different practice fee and upfront-payment arrangement.

## Where do I change the price?

The new settings are planned a few days to one week before November 2. We'll notify clinicians in the Portal when they're available.

Before the change:

1. Decide whether to keep the default client price or choose a different one.
2. Once the settings are available, review your standard price and any client-specific prices. Make any changes before November 2.
3. Tell affected clients their new price, when it starts, and anything they need to do.

The default adds the applicable OON service amount to the client charge. Review the settings even if you plan to keep it, so you know what your clients will pay.

If you need help with the options available to your practice, contact Support through your Thrizer account.

## Do I need to tell my clients?

We won't send a separate Thrizer-branded announcement to clients because each practice decides its own client prices. There isn't one client price change that applies to everyone. Your practice can explain the service and the price you've chosen.

If a client's price changes, tell them before it takes effect. Include the new amount, start date, and any action they need to take.

Use these [client messages](/help/getting-started/how-to-explain-thrizer-to-clients) as a starting point. Choose the total-price example only if the price includes every charge for the services you name. If you mention Thrizer, describe it as your payment processor.

## Subscription options

**Process a higher payment volume?** Contact Support through your Thrizer account to discuss [subscription and pricing options for your practice](/help/payments/pricing-overview#higher-volume-practices). Confirm your terms before using a different rate.
