Refunds no longer fail on recent charges with a misleading error

Some clinicians trying to refund a recent charge saw the error “already has a recorded refund or a refund is already in progress” even when no refund had been attempted. Refunds — both partial and full — now go through as expected on those charges. Who this affects: clinicians issuing a refund from the transaction details drawer on charges created after the recent payments update. What to do: if a refund previously failed with that error, open the transaction again and re-submit — no need to contact support. See Payments, payouts, and refunds.

Confirm Refund is protected against duplicate submissions

Rapid double-clicks on Confirm Refund could previously trigger the refund request more than once. The button now locks immediately on the first click and shows a Processing… state until the refund finishes, so only one refund is submitted per confirmation. Who this affects: anyone issuing refunds from the transaction details drawer. What to do: nothing — refunds will process once per confirmation. See Payments, payouts, and refunds.

Thrizer Pay is now available for clients whose eligibility was missing

Some clients whose insurance supports Thrizer Pay were incorrectly showing as Self-Pay only at charge time. This happened when their insurance record was missing the Thrizer Pay availability setting, even though the insurer supports Thrizer Pay. Thrizer now checks the insurer directly at charge time whenever that setting is missing, so eligibility reflects what the insurer actually supports. Clients whose insurance is on the Thrizer Pay list will see Thrizer Pay as an option again. Who this affects: clinicians charging clients whose insurance supports Thrizer Pay but who were previously limited to Self-Pay at the point of charge. What to do: nothing. If you had a client stuck on Self-Pay whose insurance supports Thrizer Pay, reopen the charge screen — Thrizer Pay should now appear as an available option. Insurance eligibility that was explicitly set (available or unavailable) is still respected as-is. Learn more in Payment types and eligibility and Charge clients.
