Overview

Practice administrators can add and manage team members.

Where to go

Team member options appear in:
  • Clinician Portal → Team
  • Clinician Portal → Home → Invite Teammate
The Benefits page (marketing dashboard) also links to team-member setup so it can invite a clinician who needs a service and rate before appearing in the Widget.

Using the same email across multiple teams

An email address can be associated with only one Thrizer team at a time. If you try to invite someone whose email is already on another Thrizer team, that invite will not go through. To add them to your team, they need to use a different email, or contact Thrizer support at help@thrizer.com to review options. Team role controls (Practice Role, Role, Change Role) manage a person’s permissions within your team. They do not convert an account from one type to another and do not move an account between teams.

Add a team member

Go to: Clinician Portal → Team Use Add Team Member to open the invitation modal. The invitation includes:
  • Role
The available team role in the Team area is Staff Member.

Find a team member

The Team page shows each team member’s name, email, role, and status. To locate someone quickly:
  • Search by name or email.
  • Use the status filter (All, Active, Invited, or Disabled) to narrow the list.

Clinician portal roles

Three roles use the Clinician Portal:
  • Practice Administrator — full access. Sees Practice Settings and Banking & Payouts in Settings, the Payouts tab in Transactions, and the payments summary cards. Can invite team members and manage practice-level configuration.
  • Staff Member — practice-wide visibility into clients, charges, and the Payments tab (including the clinician and client filters), but no access to Payouts, the payments summary cards, Practice Settings, or Banking & Payouts.
  • Clinician — sees only their own connected clients, charges, and payments. The Transactions hub Client filter is scoped to the clinician’s own connected clients.
For the latest updates to roles on the Team page, see the July 17, 2026 release notes. If your practice needs help setting who owns the account, contact Thrizer support at help@thrizer.com.

Widget connection

Team member setup also affects the Thrizer Widget. At least one active team member needs a service and rate before the Widget can be used for prospective client benefit checks.

Role boundary

Team management is practice-admin functionality. Staff Members and Clinicians without practice-admin access should ask a practice administrator to invite or update team members or to change practice-level settings.

I don’t see Team roster or expected controls

Team roster and full Widget/Benefits controls are visible to practice administrators. Staff Members and Clinicians have more limited access. If you are a practice administrator and Team roster or another expected control is missing, contact Thrizer support at help@thrizer.com with:
  • your practice email
  • your role
  • a screenshot of the page where controls are missing
  • the URL or page name in the Clinician Portal

How do I add a clinician to the Benefits Checker?

Add the clinician as a team member from Clinician Portal → Team → Add Team Member, then confirm the clinician has an active service and rate. At least one active team member with a service and rate is required for the Widget and Benefits Checker to function. See also Thrizer Widget for Widget setup requirements.
