Overview

Practice administrators can add and manage team members for a Thrizer practice. Each rendering clinician in a group practice must be represented by a separate clinician or team-member account. Do not process services from multiple rendering clinicians through one shared clinician profile.

Add a team member

Use the Team area of the Clinician Portal to add a team member. Each team member should have their own account or role so activity is connected to the correct user and provider setup. The roles available to assign depend on the current user’s permissions. If the expected team-management option is not available, ask a practice administrator to make the change.

Use the correct clinician on charges

A practice administrator or office manager can create charges on behalf of clinicians where supported. The selected clinician on each charge must be the clinician who rendered the service. Thrizer uses the selected clinician as the provider of record for claim submission, provider NPI attribution, and payout attribution. The person creating the charge does not replace the selected rendering clinician.

Using an email across teams and account types

An email address can be associated with only one Thrizer team at a time. Someone operating across multiple teams needs separate accounts or roles where supported. The same person can use the same email for separate client and clinician accounts. Those accounts remain independent and cannot be converted or merged. If a practice does not want to use a clinician’s personal email, it can use a unique practice-controlled email alias when the practice’s email provider supports that format.

Role boundaries

Practice administrators can manage team members and roles, practice settings, the practice payout bank account, practice-level financial reporting, and Benefits Checker or Widget configuration where supported. Clinician- and staff-role team members do not have access to practice-level financial reporting, Business information, Banking information, or payout exports. They can still access client-level or clinician-relevant records when those records are available under their role and permissions.

Widget connection

The public Widget requires at least one clinician with a configured service and rate whose Display setting is set to Shown. If a clinician should appear in the Widget, confirm that the clinician is represented on the team and has the required Widget setup.

When to request help

If a practice administrator cannot add or manage a team member, request help through the Thrizer account. Include the practice email, the affected team member, the action being attempted, and a screenshot of the issue when available.
