Why customize a Service

Your catalog provides consistent defaults, while client-specific terms let you account for an individual arrangement without creating a duplicate Service or changing what other clients receive. Client-specific terms apply only to the relationship between that client and that clinician. Open Clinician Portal → Clients, select the client, and find Services on the Overview tab. Select Manage to open the client’s Services drawer.

Set a Primary Service

Open the Service’s row actions and select Set as primary service. Thrizer uses that Service as the starting selection when you create a charge for the relationship. If no Primary Service is set, you can choose a Service when you create each charge.

Set client-specific terms

Open the Service’s row actions and select Customize terms. Change the supported terms for that client, then save. Those terms take priority over the catalog defaults when that clinician charges that client. To return the client to the catalog defaults, open the row actions and select Reset to catalog terms. Use Manage Services Catalog at the top of the drawer when you need to change the clinician’s underlying catalog instead. Client-specific terms do not change:
  • the clinician’s catalog
  • the list price shown in the benefits widget
  • another client’s terms
  • another clinician’s catalog

What happens when you charge

When you select a catalog Service, Thrizer starts with the client’s supported custom terms. If none exist, it uses the catalog defaults. A change made only on the charge applies to that charge and does not update the saved catalog or client terms. For something outside the catalog, use a One-time charge. A One-time charge is not added to the catalog automatically. When a practice administrator creates a charge for a teammate, the selected clinician’s catalog applies. Client-specific terms apply only when that clinician has the applicable relationship with the client.
