Billing and reimbursement are now easier to understand
The former Payment Type setting combined two decisions. Thrizer now separates them:- Billing Type answers whether Thrizer will submit an insurance claim: Self-Pay or OON Billing.
- Reimbursement Method answers how reimbursement will be handled for OON Billing: Check, Bank, or Instant Reimbursement.
One Services catalog connects your work
Charging profiles have been replaced by Services. Each clinician now has one catalog that can be reused across client relationships, charges, and the benefits widget.- Billable Services can be used in Thrizer’s supported insurance-claim process.
- Non-billable Services are priced offerings handled through Self-Pay and are not submitted to insurance.
- Client-specific terms let you customize supported details for one clinician-client relationship without changing the catalog.
- A Primary Service loads by default when you start a charge for that client.
- A One-time charge lets you charge for something outside the catalog without saving it as a new Service.
Where to find the changes
- Open Settings → Services to add or manage your own billable and non-billable Services.
- To manage a teammate’s catalog where your role allows it, open Benefits → Widget Settings → Team, then select Manage services for that clinician.
- Open a client’s profile to manage the Services and billing setup for that clinician-client relationship.
- In Add Charge, select the Service and Billing Type. For OON Billing, choose from the Reimbursement Methods available for that client and charge.
