Overview

Use Settings to review and manage account-level information in the Clinician Portal. The tabs you see depend on your role.

Where to go

Go to: Clinician Portal → Settings

Tab visibility by role

If a Staff Member or Clinician opens a deep link to Practice Settings or Banking & Payouts (for example ?tab=banking), the page redirects back to Profile.

Profile

Go to: Clinician Portal → Settings → Profile The Profile tab is available to every Clinician Portal role and includes:
  • First name and last name
  • Display name
  • Email
  • Individual NPI — your personal 10-digit National Provider Identifier from CMS, required for insurance claim submissions
Each row has its own Edit action that opens a modal. Practice Administrators, Staff Members, and Clinicians can all edit their own Individual NPI from Profile. From Profile you can also reset your password — select Password Reset to open a confirmation modal showing your account email, then select Send Reset Email to send the reset link.

Practice Settings

Practice Administrators only. Combines business and practice identifiers, including the W-9 / KYB (Know Your Business) fields, the practice’s group NPI (Type-2 NPI), and the practice’s Business address. Staff Members and Clinicians can ask a practice administrator to update these values. The group NPI is optional and only used when a payer is set to submit claims under your practice instead of Thrizer or the individual clinician. If your practice has a Type-2 group NPI, add it here so it’s used as the billing NPI on those claims. If it’s missing, Thrizer falls back to the rendering clinician’s individual NPI as the billing NPI on the claim. See Claims and superbills for how billing identity appears on claims.

Missing practice address banner

If your practice is approved on Thrizer but the Business address on your Practice Settings is missing or incomplete, Practice Administrators see a yellow Re-enter your practice address banner across the top of every page in the Clinician Portal. Staff Members and Clinicians do not see the banner. Only a Practice Administrator can resolve it. Why it appears:
  • Thrizer needs a complete practice business address to submit out-of-network claims on your behalf. A structured address requires a street, city, state, and ZIP.
  • The banner also appears if a data update cleared a partially-filled or unusable address that was previously on file.
The banner does not block charging clients, but insurance claim submission depends on a usable address. How to resolve it:
  1. Select Add address on the banner. This opens Settings → Practice Settings with the Business address editor already open (deep link ?tab=practice&edit=businessAddress).
  2. Enter your full practice business address — street, city, state, and ZIP — and save.
  3. The banner clears once a complete address is on file.

Business verification status

Every practice has a business verification status that gates whether the practice can charge clients. You can see the current status on the Home checklist and on the Business step in the Clinician Portal. Practice Administrators can move an Incomplete practice forward without contacting support:
  1. Open Practice Settings in the Clinician Portal.
  2. Fill in every required KYB field (business name, TIN, business address, and any other required fields).
  3. Select Submit for review.
Submitting moves the practice into Pending review. Thrizer will move you to Approved or Rejected once the review is complete.
A Rejected practice can still edit its KYB fields, but resubmission is handled by Thrizer support rather than through the portal.

Banking & Payouts

Practice Administrators only. Manage the bank account that receives Thrizer payouts and review payout-related practice details. Staff Members and Clinicians do not see this tab.
Each team has one payout bank account. Thrizer does not support multiple payout bank accounts within a single team, per-clinician payout routing, or automated revenue splits between clinicians. Practices that need to divide funds between clinicians handle that distribution outside Thrizer.

Who can change these settings

Profile is available to all Clinician Portal roles. Practice Settings and Banking & Payouts are restricted to Practice Administrators in both the UI and the backend. Staff Members and Clinicians who need a change to either area should contact a practice administrator.
