Referral program: share a link and redeem a code

Overview

These terms describe the referral program under the fee schedule before November 2, 2026. See Pricing overview for the upcoming fee changes. The Thrizer referral program waives the 3% clinician processing fee on up to $2,500 in transaction volume for both sides of an eligible referral. The maximum fee waived is $75 per referral.

• The new clinician receives the waiver on up to $2,500 of transaction volume.
• The referring clinician receives the same waiver for each eligible clinician they refer.

Share your referral link

Existing clinicians and practice administrators can share their referral invite from the Clinician Portal.

1. Sign in to the Clinician Portal.
2. Go to the Referral section.
3. Use one of the available actions to share your invite:
   • Share signup code: copy the referral code for a new clinician to enter manually during onboarding.
   • Share link: copy a referral link that prefills the code when the new clinician starts sign-up.
   • Email invite to colleague: send the referral by email from Thrizer.
4. Track your remaining waived transaction volume from the same section.

Your referrer benefit activates only after the clinician you referred completes their first transaction through Thrizer. The waiver then applies to your own 3% processing fee on up to $2,500 of processed transaction volume for that referral, with a maximum of $75 waived. For the use of Thrizer logos or branded assets, contact Thrizer support first.

How to enter a referral code at onboarding

There are two ways a referral code can be applied during sign-up:

1. Referral link. If you started sign-up from a referral link shared by another clinician, the referral code is prefilled on the referral step of onboarding. Leave it as is and continue.
2. Manual entry. If you signed up without a link, enter the referral code on the referral step during onboarding.

Referral code matching is case-insensitive, so ABC123 and abc123 are treated as the same code. You should enter the referral code during onboarding. Once setup is complete, you can’t add or change a referral in the portal yourself. If an intended referral code or link was not recorded, contact Thrizer support through your Thrizer account. Include the referral code or link, or the relevant clinician’s name or email address. Support can review the referral, but approval is not guaranteed.

What you receive

If your referral code is valid when you finish onboarding, your team automatically receives:

• A waiver of the 3% processing fee on up to $2,500 in transaction volume. The maximum fee waived is $75.

Thrizer tracks your remaining waived transaction-volume balance and applies the waiver on a per-charge basis as you process payments. See Pricing before November 2, 2026 for how the 3% clinician processing fee normally works.

When a referral code is accepted

For the referral benefit to be activated, all of the following must be true at the moment you complete onboarding:

• The referral code exists.
• The referral code is active.
• The referral code has not expired.
• The referral code is under its maximum-uses cap.
• You are not entering your own referral code (self-referrals are not allowed).
• You have not previously redeemed a referral code on this account. Each clinician can redeem only one referral code, ever.

If any of these conditions are not met, onboarding still completes successfully, but no referral benefit is activated.

The benefit is activated only once

The referral benefit is activated only once. Submitting the onboarding step more than once does not apply it again or increase the waived transaction-volume balance.

How the waiver is used

The waiver applies per charge as you process client payments through Thrizer:

• If the charge fits within your remaining waived transaction-volume balance, the 3% clinician processing fee is waived.
• If a single charge exceeds your remaining waived transaction-volume balance, the waiver is not partially applied. The full 3% fee is charged on that charge.
• Once the $2,500 transaction-volume balance is consumed, standard pricing resumes.

Limitations

• The waiver applies only to the 3% clinician payment processing fee. Other fees, including client-facing fees on OON Billing, are unchanged.
• The waiver applies only to payments processed through Thrizer. Superbill-only claim submissions do not consume or benefit from the waiver.
• A clinician can redeem at most one referral code, ever.
• Transactions completed before the benefit becomes active are not eligible for the waiver.
• After onboarding, referral changes require support review and are not guaranteed.
