How to set up the Thrizer Widget

Before you start

The Thrizer Widget is the public version of the Benefits Checker. It lets prospective clients preview estimated out-of-network benefits and session costs using the services and rates configured by your practice. Widget results are estimates. The insurer determines final coverage, allowed amounts, deductible application, claim approval, reimbursement, and timing.

What is required

Before the public Widget can be shown, the practice needs:

• at least one clinician set up
• at least one service for that clinician
• a rate for that service
• the clinician’s Display setting set to Shown

Business information and bank information are not required to show the Widget. The Widget is free for clinician accounts.

Set up the Widget

1. Open the Benefits area in the Clinician Portal.
2. Confirm that the clinician who should appear in the Widget is set up on the practice team.
3. Add at least one service and rate for that clinician.
4. Set the clinician’s Display setting to Shown.
5. Review the public Widget before sharing it.

Practice administrators can manage Benefits Checker and Widget configuration where supported. If the expected settings are not available under your role, ask a practice administrator to make the change.

Widget rates and client charges

The Widget rate is used for the estimate shown to prospective clients. It does not have to match the rate charged to every client. The amount Thrizer will charge is determined by the client-specific charging profile or charge details selected when the clinician creates the charge. If the practice uses sliding-scale or client-specific pricing, update the applicable client-specific rate before charging.

Share the Widget

The public Widget can be shared by link or embedded on a practice website where those options are available in the current interface. Use the version provided for the practice so the estimate reflects its configured clinicians, services, and rates.

If the Widget is not ready

Confirm that at least one clinician has a service and rate and is set to Shown. If the setup is complete but the public Widget is still unavailable, a practice administrator or Thrizer support can review the issue.
