Overview

The Thrizer Widget lets prospective clients preview estimated out-of-network benefits and session costs before starting care. It uses the services and rates configured by a clinician or practice. Clinicians can share the public Widget by link or embed it on a practice website where supported. This gives prospective clients a clearer cost estimate before intake without presenting the estimate as a final insurance decision.

Benefits Checker and Widget

The Benefits Checker and public Widget are part of the same benefits-checking setup:

• The Benefits Checker is the clinician-facing benefits-checking concept.
• The Widget is the public version prospective clients can use.

They are not separate benefit systems.

What the Widget estimates

Using the selected service, configured rate, and insurance information, the Widget can estimate:

• out-of-network deductible information
• coinsurance
• reimbursement
• out-of-pocket responsibility

The insurer determines final coverage, allowed amounts, deductible application, claim approval, reimbursement, and timing.

What the practice configures

The public Widget requires at least one clinician with a configured service and rate whose Display setting is set to Shown. Business information and bank information are not required to show the Widget. The Widget is free for clinician accounts.

When a benefit check is incomplete

A failed or incomplete benefit check does not establish that the client lacks coverage. Thrizer can use manual verification when the automated response does not provide enough information to interpret benefits safely.
