What is the Thrizer Widget?

Overview

The Thrizer Widget is your practice’s public out-of-network benefits calculator. Share it with prospective clients before intake to help them explore estimated session costs using the displayed clinician’s Services and list prices.

Benefits Checker and Widget

The Benefits Checker lets your practice check estimated benefits. The Widget gives prospective clients a public version of that calculator. You can use the public Widget before adding someone as a Thrizer client.

What the Widget estimates

A result is not a guarantee of coverage or payment. The selected Service, catalog list price, and insurance information help produce estimates of deductible information, coinsurance, reimbursement, and out-of-pocket responsibility. What the practice configures

Use Widget setup for the complete readiness requirements, permitted roles, visibility, appearance, and sharing steps. The public price comes from the clinician’s catalog; What are Services in Thrizer? explains its relationship to client-specific fees.

What information does the widget use?

The Widget uses the selected clinician and Service, its list price, and the insurance information entered for the benefit check. Selecting a Non-billable Service explains that it is not billed to insurance and does not run an insurance benefit check. Thrizer hosts the public Widget and processes the information submitted for the check, including when the Widget is embedded on a practice website. Embedding it does not by itself store that information on the practice’s website or servers. Thrizer does not save the client information submitted through the public Widget. These statements describe the public Widget, not every Thrizer account workflow or other tools on your website. Thrizer’s HIPAA safeguards do not establish the compliance of the practice’s entire website or workflow.

What clinicians can customize or share

Manage the practice’s Widget from Clinician Portal → Benefits. Use Widget setup to copy the public link or provide website embed code, and to check which role can make each change.

Wording you can share with prospective clients

You can use our benefits link to explore estimated out-of-network costs before getting started. The result is an estimate; your insurer makes the final coverage and reimbursement decision. If the check does not finish, contact us or Support for help understanding the next step.

Clients can contact Thrizer Support directly; they do not need the practice to submit a request for them. See Support options.

What if the benefit check fails or looks incomplete?

If the Widget shows Unable to check benefits with Try Again, retry once. An automated payer response problem does not by itself mean there is no coverage. If the check keeps failing or information is incomplete, use Manual benefit checks for the supported verification route. The practice can help the prospective client understand the notice; the client can also contact Support directly. Wait for usable benefit information before confirming which insurance billing options the client can use.

Is the widget required to create a charge or submit a claim?

No. Public Widget use is optional. For later billing, complete client setup and charge readiness; a public estimate does not complete those steps.
