Short answer

The Thrizer Widget lets prospective clients check estimated out-of-network benefits using the services and rates configured by a clinician or practice. Clinicians can share a Thrizer-hosted link or embed the widget on their website. The widget can help clients understand estimated reimbursement and estimated out-of-pocket cost before starting care. Widget results are estimates only. Final coverage, reimbursement, deductible application, and claim outcomes are determined by the insurance carrier.

How this works

The widget gives clients a way to check estimated out-of-network benefits before intake, consultation, or session billing. It uses information such as:

• the selected service
• the session rate
• the client’s insurance details

The widget uses those inputs to generate an estimated reimbursement amount and estimated out-of-pocket cost. Client information entered into the public widget is used to generate the estimate and is not saved by Thrizer.

Who the widget is for

The widget is mainly for clinicians or practices that want prospective clients to check out-of-network benefit estimates before they begin care. Clients can use the widget through a link shared by the clinician or through an embedded version on the clinician’s website.

What information does the widget use?

The widget uses the clinician’s configured services and rates, along with client insurance information entered during the benefit check. A practice must have at least one active team member with an active service and a defined rate before the widget can be used.

What clinicians can customize or share

In the Clinician Portal, the Thrizer Widget supports:

• customization
• website embed
• a Thrizer-hosted shareable link
• analytics

The widget is managed from the Benefits area of the Clinician Portal.

Are widget results guaranteed?

No. Widget results are estimates based on available benefit information. They do not guarantee:

• coverage
• reimbursement
• claim approval
• final session cost
• deductible application
• claim timing

Insurance carriers determine final claim outcomes, reimbursement amounts, and deductible application.

What if the benefit check fails or looks incomplete?

A failed or incomplete automated benefit check does not automatically mean the client lacks coverage or out-of-network benefits. Some insurer systems do not return complete benefit information automatically. In those cases, manual verification may be needed to confirm details such as deductible status, coinsurance, allowed amount information, or out-of-network reimbursement rules. If available benefit information is incomplete, missing, or unclear, Thrizer may need manual verification before benefits can be safely interpreted.

Is the widget required to create a charge or submit a claim?

No. The widget is intended to help clients check and understand estimated out-of-network benefits before care or billing. Using the widget is not required to create a charge or submit a claim.

What Thrizer does

Thrizer provides the widget so clinicians can offer prospective clients an estimated out-of-network benefit check using the clinician’s configured services and rates. Thrizer may use available benefit information to estimate reimbursement and estimated out-of-pocket cost.

What insurance determines

Insurance determines the final claim outcome. That includes:

• whether the claim is approved or denied
• whether the claim applies to deductible
• whether reimbursement is paid
• how much reimbursement is paid
• when the claim is processed
