Charging now requires a valid Business Tax ID and a complete practice address

Add Charge is now blocked until your practice has both of the following on file, in addition to an Approved business verification status:
  • A valid 9-digit Business Tax ID (EIN or SSN).
  • A complete Business address: street, city, state, and ZIP.
This applies to every payment type, including Self-Pay. When either requirement is unmet, Submit is disabled in Add Charge and an inline message explains what to fix. Charges submitted anyway are rejected with the same message. How to resolve each block:
  • Business address: a Practice Administrator can fix it in Settings → Practice Settings → Business address. The Re-enter your practice address banner, when shown, deep-links straight to the address editor.
  • Business Tax ID: approved practices cannot edit the Tax ID themselves. Contact Thrizer support through your Thrizer account.
Who this affects: approved practices whose Business Tax ID is missing or not 9 digits, or whose Business address is missing a street, city, state, or ZIP. Practices with complete business information see no change. Why it matters: charges create claims and tax records that depend on accurate practice identity. Blocking the charge up front, with a named fix, avoids downstream claim and 1099-K problems. See Charge readiness and Why can’t I charge my clients?.

Add Charge fails closed when readiness can’t be verified

If Thrizer temporarily cannot load your practice’s charge readiness, Add Charge now stays disabled until the check succeeds, instead of falling back to business verification status alone. Refresh the page or try again in a moment.

Missing practice address banner mentions charging

The Re-enter your practice address banner now says the address is needed to continue charging and submitting out-of-network claims. The banner no longer appears when your practice can already charge.
