Expiration date formats itself as you type
The Expiration Date field in the add-card form now accepts natural typing and formats the value to MM/YY for you. Type1230, 12/30, 12/2030, or a single-digit month like 9/29, and the field settles on the right format. Previously the field only accepted a pre-slashed MM/YY value, and Save Card stayed disabled without explanation if the format was off.
This applies everywhere the add-card form appears: Client Portal → Settings → Payment Methods, client onboarding, and the client detail page clinicians use to add a card on a client’s behalf.
Who this affects: clients adding a card, and clinicians or practice staff adding a card for a client.
Why it matters: you can type the expiration date the way it appears on the card instead of guessing the required format.
Per-field validation messages in the add-card form
The add-card form now tells you exactly which field needs attention when you leave it:First name is requiredandLast name is requiredon the cardholder name fieldsExpiration date is required,Enter a valid expiration date (MM/YY), orThis card expiration date has passedon the expiration fieldEnter a valid card numberandEnter a valid security codeon the card number and CVV fields, with a hint such asCheck the card number and CVVwhen those fields are left incomplete
