New features

A short practice profile step during onboarding

Owners and Practice Administrators now answer two questions about the practice while completing onboarding in the Clinician Portal:
  • What is your average monthly credit card processing volume? Include all card volume across every processor, not just Thrizer. An estimate is fine.
  • How many clinicians are in your practice? Count Owners and clinical staff, including part-time clinical staff. Do not count front-desk or administrative staff.
The step appears immediately before the final onboarding screen and does not have a Skip control. Onboarding cannot be marked complete until both answers are saved. If you close the tab partway through, signing back in resumes at the practice profile step. Who this affects: Owners and Practice Administrators completing onboarding after this release. Team members joining by invite do not see this step. Existing practices are unaffected during normal use. What to do: finish the two fields on the A couple of questions about your practice step, then continue to the final screen. See Getting started as a clinician.

Updates

Service provider eligibility now follows the seat’s role

Who a Practice Administrator can assign as a client’s service provider is now decided by the team member’s role, not a separate on/off setting:
  • Team members with a Staff role are never service providers and cannot hold a Services catalog. To make a Staff seat assignable, change their role to a clinician-tier role.
  • Team members with any clinician-tier role (for example, Team Owner, Practice Administrator, or Clinician) are always service providers.
To reflect this, the Clinician Portal removed the standalone controls that used to override eligibility:
  • The Service Provider column and per-row Service Provider action on Clinician Portal → Team.
  • The Service Provider checkbox on the invite-team-member form.
  • The Service Provider status editor on a teammate’s profile.
The Change Role action stays, and choosing Staff still triggers the caseload-reassignment prompt for that person’s existing clients. Who this affects: Practice Administrators managing their team roster and inviting new team members. Why it matters: eligibility to be assigned to a client is now decided in one place, the role, instead of a role plus a separate toggle that could disagree with it. See Team members.
